Today we emptied the camper and got it ready for the next time out. It always amazes us how well we sleep in there. We were certainly lucky that the weather cooperated. It was like camping in summer temperatures.
We also helped at noon with Harvesters. The semi pulled in at 11:45 am. Dan, Aaron, Adam and I were on the job a minute later. (The boys are on spring break) Certainly it is off season for produce but there were onions, dairy products and bread—lots of bread and cakes. I did notice there were fewer cars in line today which might be a sign of an improved economy.
We have tickets to the Kansas Prayer Breakfast tomorrow morning. We will be rubbing elbows with legislators, something we certainly don’t do too often. And, in order to have this opportunity, we have to leave at 5:20 a.m. and get up at an unheard of hour for these two retired people.
I am begging off writing about our weekend. It was fun and eventful from beginning to end. Give me one more day.
