Bull Frog and bananas (sort of)

You’ve got to love Bull Frogs.  Especially their sound.  We were wishing we had a fishing pole with some red material on a hook when we saw this big guy tonight.  Even if I caught a bull frog in season, I would release.  They seem sparse anymore.

The  Paw paw trees are growing along our fence line.  There are a number of trees and many fruits.  According to the linked web site, they are the largest wild fruit native to America.  They are nicknamed Poor Man’s banana.  I am not sure we have ever harvested a ripe fruit.  As they reach their prime, I picture a circle of raccoons, waiting patiently then pouncing on the ripe fruit all at once.
