Just playing around with a new little video camera call Flip.
It all turned out sort of cute so decided to post it. I am disappointed in the quality. Guess you get what you pay for!
Two things, notice we have a mole problem in our yard. Also, Dan spent the afternoon burning brush, hense the dirty jeans

Bird watching seems like a perfect hobby. It’s an outdoor, nice weather, collecting activity. Oh yes, and requires a good memory. All good activities for learning and health.
This summer I hope to work harder at identification and songs. Dan is very good—it is time for me to quit relying on him. Although, it is fun to work together.
We have identified a few early spring arrivals. Last week we noticed the Turkey Vultures (buzzards) are back. We have bluebirds, but they have been in and out all winter. I was up rather late last night and what I call hoot owl but was probably Great Horned Owl was busy hoo-hoo-hoo-hooing. They don't migrate but the song seemed springlike. There were Killdeer in several yards today. I looked out over a field and it was white with sea gulls. Several days ago we were surprised to see our Eastern Phoebe dipping its tail at us on the back clothesline pole.
Every day it seem there are more indications of spring migratory birds. Chip’s blog says Monarch butterflies have been spotted in the Houston area. There is certainly a spring feel here in eastern Kansas.

A late end to an interesting day. No mail delivery from me because of a dentist appointment.
The interesting part has been cleaning the clutter in my office. If you stop and think about it, clutter is usually stuff put aside because at the moment of decision to keep or toss, the thought is, it is too important to toss. So, going through it is fairly interesting.
There were travel brochures, newspaper articles I thought I might want to share and cards and letters from my birthday. The shelves still need work, but that will wait. The desk is organized with must do piles that I have to take care of tomorrow night.
I’m off to bed feeling I accomplished something that has been on my To Do List for a long time.
